Impressed by the charitable work of Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital and Research Centre, a team from The Johnson & Johnson Institute recently held a training session for the surgeons and staff of the hospital. The Johnson & Johnson Institute is the training wing of Johnson & Johnson, a multinational corporation in the field of pharmaceuticals, medical devices and consumer goods.

A newborn, just five days old, was rushed to Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital and Research Centre’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with severe jaundice, posing a threat of permanent neurological damage due to excessive bilirubin. Diagnosis uncovered an additional genetic disorder causing rapid red blood cell breakdown.
