Genesis

Over 15 years ago, a pressing need to provide quality and accessible healthcare to the rural South Gujarat population was identified. Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur was prompt to respond to this need under the benevolent initiative of Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care.

Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur is a spiritual movement for inner transformation through wisdom, meditation and selfless service. Founded by Pujya Gurudevshri, the organisation works through 204 centres in five continents.

Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care is the Mission’s award-winning social initiative to offer selfless service and bring joy to the lives of the underserved sections of society. Since 2020, it has been granted ‘Special Consultative Status’ by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN-ECOSOC) in acknowledgement of its extensive charitable work.

Our Journey

Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital and Research Centre had extremely humble beginnings, when it was launched in 2004 with a capacity of just 40 beds. By 2013, the facility expanded to 100 beds, as the Hospital crossed the mark of treating 1,00,000 patients annually.

By 2017, the Hospital was consistently operating at 130-140% occupancy, and the immediate need of the hour was to expand the infrastructure of the facility, so every patient in need could be catered to.

Plans for expansion were guided by Pujya Gurudevshri’s profound vision to build a charitable hospital, but not at the cost of quality. In 2017, the foundation stone ceremony for a new 250-bed facility was conducted in the pious presence of Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshji, Pujyashri Morari Bapu and various revered saints and dignitaries.
