The Vision Care Project
The Vision Care Project

The Project was launched in Nov 2023 by Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care with financial support from Sarvamangal Family Trust. Vision care project works to reduce avoidable vision impairment caused by refractive errors among children and underserved communities across India. It is one of the largest public health vision screening programmes run by a non-profit in the country.
The initiative conducts large-scale vision screenings and provides free spectacles, especially to rural and underserved populations who lack access to basic eye care services.
Since its launch, the programme has conducted 5+ million vision screenings, distributed 800,000+ free spectacles, and organised 27,500+ screening camps in schools and communities. It has also identified and referred 325,000+ cataract and complex eye cases for specialised treatment.
Currently active in 16 states across 155 districts, the project works with 18 eye health partner organisations, reaching school children, working adults, women, and elderly populations.
The programme aims to reach 20 million vision screenings by 2028, helping reduce preventable vision impairment and improve quality of life for communities across India.
